The inspiration behind SaludBUENO stems from the legacy of Dr. Armando J. Collazo and his family, who since 1994 have worked to expand access to medical services, health education, and prevention for Hispanic families. What began by serving approximately 20,000 people grew to impact more than 600,000 Puerto Rican patients and families over the following 17 years.

Today, that mission evolves through SaludBUENO.com, a platform that brings together community expertise, technology, artificial intelligence, and access to modern health solutions to help our community improve their well-being, reach a healthy weight, and live with more energy, purpose, and quality of life.

The Collazo Family's vision remains the same: to put education, guidance, and practical tools within reach of our community so that each person can make better decisions about their health and build a healthier future for themselves and their family.

For more than 25 years she has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families better understand their health, manage diabetes and develop sustainable habits that improve their quality of life. Her commitment to this mission grew from both her professional experience and her personal story when her daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, an experience that transformed her life and strengthened her calling to serve.

In addition to accompanying thousands of people on their path to better health, Betsy has lived the challenges of weight management firsthand. Through gradual changes, balanced nutrition, increased protein intake, regular physical activity, strength training and sustainable habits, she improved her health and achieved lasting results without quick fixes. This personal experience allows her to authentically understand the challenges, frustrations and triumphs that accompany any process of change.

Betsy was part of the leadership team of organizations founded by Dr. Armando J. Collazo, where she led health, prevention and education programs that impacted thousands of Hispanic families across the United States and Puerto Rico. Her professional trajectory, deep clinical knowledge and personal experience strengthen SaludBUENO's mission to offer trustworthy, culturally relevant guidance centered on people's real needs.

As a core member of the SaludBUENO team, Betsy combines science, clinical experience and personal lived experience to help our community build realistic habits, improve metabolic health and live with greater confidence, well-being and quality of life.
